COVID - 19 Safety Plan
New Studio Guidelines
We look forward to welcoming you back to our Studio!
Creative Expressions is committed to the safety of each student, parent, and instructor that comes through our doors. We are all aware that these are extraordinary times and extra measures must be taken to ensure everyone’s safety. As we begin to embark upon our "new normal" it is important that we follow the safest possible sanitary guidelines.
We make this promise to every member of the CEDS Dance Family, to provide the safest possible experience we can and follow the additional safety standards to ensure our guests, instructors, and communities safety in these uncertain times.
Please note our guidelines are subject to change as we receive updates from the CDC (Center for Disease Control & Prevention).
What’s Changed and What Guests Can Expect

Dance Props, Bars, etc. cleaned after each use

Tumbling mats disinfected between each class

Studios have clearly defined individual dance spaces

Studios have clearly marked places for dancers to put their belongings

Lesson plans have been changed to accommodate dancing from a distance and in person

Restrooms cleaned throughout the day

Liability waivers must be signed & on file before students may participate in class.

Scheduled Appointments or Reservations are recommended to allow us to properly space our classes and personnel out for social distancing. Please call ahead at 810-787-3991 for appointments or email us at cedsflint@gmail.com as this will help us to ensure minimal wait times and contact.

Additional measures have been taken as "Social Distancing" will be a big part of how we control the spread of Covid-19 as we begin to come back to dance.

In person as well as Virtual Office Hours are now available for your convenience.

The check in process may be streamlined by AUTO-PAY, ONLINE Registration, and SCHEDULED in- person Appointments. To minimize wait time and ensure CONTACT-LESS check-in & registration, AUTO-PAY is highly recommended.
UPON ARRIVAL AT STUDIO

Please CHECK IN at the front entrance & wait for your name to be called while implementing 6ft social distancing.

Only students are allowed in studio area and parents/guardians are asked to return to their vehicles once students are checked in.

All students will be screened and temperatures will be taken and recorded using a contact-less thermometer gun. Any students exhibiting a temperature or showing any signs of illness, including coughing or any flu-like symptoms should stay home or participate in our online classes. All students will be required to wash their hands / sanitize before entering their classes so please arrive early.

Students MUST be dropped off and picked up ON TIME.

Please use approved exits and follow all signs to help students implement social distancing.
DURING CLASS
-
All Studios will have clearly defined individual spacing for dancing and their belongings.

Students should change into their dance shoes & leave their street shoes in the designated cubicles
-
We recommend that hair be worn off the face to prevent the use of touching.

Our instructors will be teaching in a no contact fashion, using verbal & demonstrative instruction

Virtual/Air hugs, high-fives, and handshakes will be encouraged and implemented
-
Masks are MANDATORY and should be worn by the student as well as the instructor. As much as possible, students are to maintain 6 feet apart.
INSTRUCTORS

Instructors MUST immediately and thoroughly wash their hands upon entering the building.

All our instructors have been informed that they must call ahead if they are showing any symptoms for any illness whatsoever, and that they will not be able to teach until they have been cleared by a doctor to return.

We are committed to ensuring all our Instructors understand the virus, how it is transmitted and how they can protect themselves and our students.

Instructors will receive additional training addressing what is required of each Instructor, sanitation practices, and social distancing guidelines.

As new information comes available, our Instructors will be immediately informed and kept up to date with any changes that must be made in regards to sanitation practices, policies, or procedures.
CLEANING SCHEDULE

Floors & Surfaces are cleaned daily

Barres, mats, props are wiped down after each use

Bathrooms are properly sanitized and deep-cleaned daily

Studio is deep cleaned once a week
